PRINGLE BAY - Adele Talbot walked into Pringle House this year as the new principal, after having teached in Gauteng for most of her career. "I started out as a primary school teacher for approximately half of my career, during which time I also started a preparatory school for underprivileged children in 1991 – Salvazione. "Primary school has always been my first love, although I transitioned to high school later and taught at Heron Bridge College for the last 16 years. It was a wonderful challenge, and I found I thrived there despite initially missing the preparatory arena enormously," she says. However, the time for change became clear. She yearned for an environment away from the manic pace of city life. She craved a place, "where my soul could have time to breathe, and where I could focus on working with children in a place where I had the time and pace to fully address the needs of each child. "Then I crossed paths with Pringle House, and the signposts were clear. It is a privilege indeed to have been offered this position, and I did not accept the post lightly. I believe that the foundations of the school set by my predecessors have been fundamental in shaping both the school’s past, and more importantly, its future. "There is much that is very exciting in the pipeline going forward, and I am delighted to be on board. We have an excellent SGB of dedicated people working towards the school’s best interests, and an exceptional educational team on the ground who are both passionate and dedicated to their field. The outlook for 2022 is positive indeed," she concludes.
