KLEINMOND – Danya Godwin, who started the initiative to have the popular boat house and boats at the lagoon restored before Easter Weekend, gives an update of their progress: “I have had a list compiled and Bouhandel has quoted on that, which enabled me to draw up a budget, making it rounded amount of R10 000.” According to her several donations were received, but they are still far from their goal. Three individuals also came forward as volunteers for the revamp.
The goal is to start work from 1 April and to have the project completed by Easter weekend, 15-18 April. “We plan to do the revamping like an event for anyone to join at Kleinmond lagoon and pitch in to help so that everyone can feel involved and make it a fun project for young and old. With that being said, I would really appreciate people coming forward and sign themselves up as volunteers,” she concludes.
