Overstrand Municipality held an educational training session in Kleinmond on 6 November 2023 for local youths to talk and discuss the three-month life-skill training programme of Chrysalis Academy.
The information session focused on the application criteria, the screening process ahead of recruitment and what the health and fitness assessment entails.
Candidates should refrain from using any form of illicit drugs which include weed and/or over the counter medication which can be used for non-medicinal reasons. Should they test positive for any of the above during the course, they will not be allowed to continue.
Applications for the Chrysalis Academy three-month training course is now open for the May 2024 intake. Young men, who want to contribute to society by positively changing their lifestyle, should apply. The closing date for applicants to submit applications is 17 November 2023.
