Members of Villiersdorp SAPS conducted a vehicle check point on the Worcester Road, when they noticed a white BMW approaching. The members noticed how one of the occupants of the vehicle throw a red plastic bag out of the window of the car. The driver of the BMW then turned around and sped off. A high speed chase ensued and the vehicle was stopped and brought back to where the plastic bag was thrown out. Upon searching the bag the members found two 9mm pistols with ammunition in the bag. Three adult males were arrested for the possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
They are expected to make a court appearance in the Caledon Magistrates’ court once they have been charged.
