I have been renting a house at Meerenvlei since 3.12.2021 and the feral cat situation here is a big problem. The lack of sterilisation has resulted in at least 2 new litters this year and we now have at least 17 cats on the premises, with a resident feeding them.
The overpopulation inconveniences and negatively impacts three other neighbour households excluding myself.
KAWS, Environmental, Cape Nature as well as law enforcement are aware of the situation for well over one year and have attempted cage trapping etc. but without co-operation the cats cannot be caught or removed. Kleinmonder
